Job summary

360 Resourcing Solutions in Barnsley is seeking a Graduate Automation Engineer to start a career in robotics, automation and manufacturing innovation. You will work on real-world automation projects that enhance efficiency, productivity and quality in a busy production setting.

You will gain hands-on experience with robotics, PLC-controlled systems, process optimisation and project delivery while building a long-term career in modern manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Degree in Robotics & Automation, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of robotics, automation systems and manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of APQP, PFMEA, Six Sigma and SPC.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.
• Experience using CAD software, ideally AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Identifying and delivering automation and process improvement projects.
• Supporting the installation, commissioning and integration of robotic systems.
• Developing and optimising robot programs and automated processes.
• Assisting with manufacturing improvement and capital investment projects.
• Using data analysis and Lean methodologies to drive efficiencies.
• Working closely with production, engineering and management teams to implement new technologies.

What You'll Be Doing

• Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally between sites.
