Summary At Gardiner & Theobald, Project Managers play a key role in the successful planning and delivery of construction and infrastructure projects. They coordinate project teams, manage programmes, facilitate effective communication and help guide projects from inception through to completion.
You will be working within our infrastructure and major projects team to support a diverse range of clients.
Project Managers work closely with clients, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and in line with client objectives. Effective stakeholder management, communication and risk management are central to the role.
Role Overview As an Assistant Project Manager, you will be working towards chartered membership of APM while also gaining valuable work experience. You will be working towards becoming a professional with expert knowledge of leading and managing a project team.
You will join the G&T Accelerate Programme, combining real responsibility, expert mentoring and accredited training to help you gain a professional qualification and accelerate your career, ensuring you can relate the theoretical aspects of your studies to actual work experience. Over the course of the programme, you will gain valuable experience across a variety of projects while developing the technical, commercial and leadership skills required to become a successful Project Manager.
The role will be varied, and the actual experience gained will be dependent on the team and sector you are working in.
Working within a team, you will be assisting your line manager with various aspects of daily work. In this role you will be expected to work with a certain level of autonomy while also knowing when to discuss and ask questions to ensure the best outcome.
You will be building a solid knowledge base of your role, the firm and the industry, and how they all fit together.
