We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Assistant Asset Surveyor at Wirral Council on a *2-year fixed term contract.

About the Programme

Are you looking to start your career in property and asset management? We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Assistant Asset Surveyor to join our multi-disciplinary Asset Management Team. You’ll play a key role in supporting the management of a diverse property portfolio and delivering strategic asset management objectives for the Council.

This includes support for becoming a member of the RICS. This would include an Assessment of Professional Competence which we would support you to achieve.

What Youll Do
  • Assist with a broad range of asset management functions including landlord and tenant matters compulsory purchase valuation and surveying.
  • Support regeneration housing and highways schemes including property acquisitions.
  • Help manage the Councils leased property portfolio including rent reviews lease negotiations and terminations.
  • Update property databases and prepare plans and drawings for professional staff.
  • Undertake negotiations on minor property matters and assist with asset disposals.
  • Contribute to asset valuations in line with CIPFA and RICS standards to support statutory requirements.

The programme is designed to develop future public Asset Management professionals by providing a framework to operate within as well as the necessary support to facilitate attainment of a professional qualification. You’ll gain hands‑on experience across a broad spectrum of functions.
