Job summary

SME Graduate Employment Ltd in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a graduate to support the finance function. You will assist with the automation of accounts payable and learn from the Finance Manager while developing a broad range of accounting tasks.

Initially you’ll contribute to the accounts payable automation project, then move into general accountancy support including prepayments, accruals and management accounts, with opportunities to study further accounting qualifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate with an accountancy related degree.
• Willingness to learn and work towards additional accountancy qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Support accounts payable automation project as the initial focus.
• Assist with prepayments and accruals.
• Support preparation of management accounts and other accounting tasks.
• Develop general accountancy support skills under supervision from Finance Manager.

It’s a great time to be joining this successful and profitable Stoke based manufacturing business, as they have a full book of orders.

You’ll be working closely with the Finance Manager, and learning from her.

There is a nice project initially, as the accounts payable side is being automated, and you’ll be helping with that.

You’ll then move into a more general accountancy support role, and will be getting involved with a wide range of tasks; including prepayments, accruals, management accounts, and more.

You will learn a lot. And going forward, the business will support you to study for additional accountancy qualifications.
