KPI Education is seeking an ambitious Graduate Academic Mentor to join a thriving secondary school and sixth form in Liverpool. This is far more than a traditional Teaching Assistant role and provides hands-on school experience across the 2026/27 academic year.
You will work with students across KS3, GCSE and potentially A-Level, delivering focused 1:1 and small-group interventions, using your degree to provide specialist academic support, and helping pupils aim for the highest GCSE results.
Are you a high-achieving graduate looking to turn your academic background into valuable experience within education?
Do you have the knowledge, confidence and personality to motivate secondary-aged students to achieve more than they thought possible?
Would you like to spend a full academic year gaining hands-on school experience before progressing into teacher training, Educational Psychology or another education-based career?
KPI Education is seeking an ambitious Graduate Academic Mentor to join a thriving secondary school and sixth form in Liverpool.
This is far more than a traditional Teaching Assistant role.
The school is looking for a bright, driven graduate who can become a trusted mentor, positive role model and academic champion for its pupils, while building the practical experience needed for their own future career.
Based in Liverpool, this inclusive and ambitious secondary school is committed to achieving strong academic outcomes while ensuring every student has access to meaningful opportunities.
The school aims to broaden pupils' horizons and encourage them to think beyond their immediate circumstances — whether that means university, professional careers or pathways they may never previously have considered.
As a Graduate Academic Mentor, you'll be an important part of that mission.
Rather than simply observing lessons or spending your days supporting general classroom activities, you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine academic and personal impact.
You might begin the day working with Year 11 students as they prepare for their GCSE examinations, before supporting a high-performing sixth-form student with their university ambitions. Later, you could deliver a small-group intervention for pupils who have the potential to excel but need additional encouragement, structure and academic direction.
Every day will offer the chance to develop your own skills while helping young people make progress.
