Job summary

Siemens Digital Industries Software is hiring a CFD Solver Developer for the M-Star team. You will join a small, expert group delivering GPU-native, multiphysics CFD software to industries like Life Sciences and Chemical Materials.

We focus on first-principles modeling with GPU acceleration, tackling turbulent mixing, multiphase flows, and reactive systems. You’ll contribute to solver architecture and communicate results at conferences.

Qualifications

• Expertise with Lattice Boltzmann Methods (LBM) for fluid simulation.
• Background in numerical methods for transport physics (fluid dynamics, advection diffusion, particle mechanics, or heat transfer).
• Writing high performance physics codes using parallel computing in shared and distributed memory systems.
• Knowledge of the Discrete Element Method (DEM) for particle mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Develop M-Star’s fluid dynamics solver including maintenance, feature addition, algorithm implementation, and validation.
• Translate academic research in numerical methods into a high-performance software product.
• Model physics including fluid dynamics, multiphase flows, advection-diffusion, and heat transfer.
