Job summary

HCA Mission Hospital - Memorial Campus in Central London is seeking a General Practitioner (GP) / Advanced Health Screening Doctor for private patients. The role offers permanent, salaried employment with flexible hours (min 4 sessions/week) and a focus on comprehensive health screenings and routine GP appointments.

You'll deliver pre-booked appointments, perform procedures, and provide lifestyle guidance within a supportive network of private care.

Qualifications

• Must hold GMC registration and be on the GP register.
• Minimum of one year post-qualification experience.
• Strong communication and IT skills.
• Be able to conduct smear tests, vaccinations, blood draws and ECGs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-booked appointments ranging from 15-minute focused reviews to 60-minute health screenings.
• Carry out procedures such as blood draws, vaccinations, smear tests and ECGs.
• Use diagnostics and rapid pathways to support timely decisions.
• Provide tailored guidance on lifestyle, risk and long-term wellbeing.
• Refer patients to specialists and therapies when clinically appropriate.

General Practitioner (GP) / Advanced Health Screening Doctor - Private Patients

Location: Central London

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm or 9am to 6pm, with a one-hour lunch break and one hour of protected administration time

Contract: Permanent, salaried. Full or part-time, minimum 4 sessions per week

Salary: £10,400 per annum per session. GPs who undertake up to six advanced health screenings per day may also be eligible for an additional annual allowance of £12,000

You became a GP to understand what's happening beneath the symptoms, guide people through important decisions and make a meaningful difference to their long-term health. Yet the reality of moving from one appointment to the next can leave little time for the conversations that matter.

In our private patient clinics, you'll have the space to practise differently. Through detailed health screenings and routine GP appointments, you'll explore lifestyle, prevention and long-term health with patients who want to understand their health and make positive changes.

What you'll do:

You’ll deliver pre-booked appointments ranging from focused 15-minute reviews to one-hour health screenings. Other responsibilities will include:

• Deliver personalised GP consultations and comprehensive health screenings
• Carry out procedures such as blood draws, vaccinations, smear tests and ECGs
• Use diagnostics and rapid pathways to support timely decisions
• Provide tailored guidance on lifestyle, risk and long-term wellbeing
• Refer patients to specialists and therapies when clinically appropriate

What we're looking for:

• Hold a GMC registration and inclusion on the GP register (performers list not required)
• Have a minimum of one year post qualification experience
• Be able to conduct smear tests, vaccinations, blood draws, and ECGs
• Demonstrate basic health screening skills, though full training will be provided for advanced diagnostics unique to HCA UK
• Have strong communication and IT skills
