A community healthcare organization in Doncaster seeks a GP Assistant to help streamline clinic operations through administrative and clinical support. Candidates should have GCSEs in English and Maths, experience in a patient-focused environment, and the ability to handle sensitive information. This role is essential for allowing GPs to concentrate on clinical care, ultimately benefiting patient outcomes. The position is full-time and permanent, based across various GP practices in Doncaster.
The purpose of the GP Assistant is to work alongside the Primary Care Network (PCN) and Practice teams to support the smooth running of clinics by performing routine administration and clinical tasks, providing efficient administrative support, and assisting in the processing of patient data. The overall aim of the position is to help reduce the administrative workload pressures of the wider clinical team including the GPs so they can focus their time on the clinical care of their patients.

Connect Healthcare Rotherham Community Interest Company (CIC) is a federation of 28 GP practices in Rotherham. The organisation is led by a Board of representatives from general practice in the Borough, with executive leadership from a Medical Director on a part‑time basis. This role will be on behalf of and working with Doncaster East PCN.
