Job summary

A leading health insurer in the UK seeks a Government Affairs Lead to influence healthcare policy and strengthen their voice. The ideal candidate will have experience in government affairs, strong communication skills, and a collaborative nature. Government Affairs Lead

Salary: From £50,000

Location status: Hybrid working

Location: Angel Court, London with travel to office 2-3 days required

Contract: Fixed-term - 12 months

Hours: 37.5 hrs pw

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with policymakers, government departments, regulators, and industry bodies.
  • Represent Bupa in meetings with ministers, trade bodies, and external forums, both in person and virtually.
  • Support the delivery of proactive government affairs campaigns that influence healthcare strategy and enhance Bupa's reputation.
  • Provide insight-led advice on political developments and their impact on our business.
  • Collaborate across Bupa's insurance, care, dental, and health services to manage reputational risks and opportunities.
  • Take part in the Duty Press Officer rota for out-of-hours calls.
