A community-focused housing organization in Wales seeks a Governance Manager to ensure high-quality governance and support senior leaders. This role involves maintaining corporate records, managing Board meetings, and providing clear governance advice. The ideal candidate has strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Work arrangements include a four-day week trial and hybrid options. Join us to strengthen our governance culture and drive continuous improvements in organizational transparency.
Do you have exceptional organisational skills and a passion for high‑quality governance? Are you someone who takes pride in accuracy, integrity and supporting senior leaders to make confident, well‑informed decisions? If you thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced and ever‑evolving regulatory environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
You will be at the heart of our corporate governance and assurance function — ensuring that our Board, Committees and Executive team receive the right information at the right time, and that our organisation meets the highest standards of transparency, compliance and accountability. You’ll play a key role in shaping how we operate as a responsible, well‑governed organisation: maintaining statutory registers, coordinating regulatory submissions, stewarding governance systems, and supporting the smooth running of Board and Committee business. From producing high‑quality papers and minutes to ensuring that our governing documents and policies remain current and compliant, your contribution will help strengthen our governance culture at every level.
As our Governance Manager, you’ll collaborate daily with Board Members, senior leaders, colleagues across the organisation and external partners — providing clear advice, managing sensitive information and supporting the delivery of an effective and professional company secretarial service. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that corporate records are accurate and accessible, that assurance processes are robust, and that we can evidence compliance with evolving regulatory standards. Your strong administrative, analytical and interpersonal skills will be essential as you champion good governance and drive continuous improvement across the business.
You’ll bring a positive, solutions‑focused mindset, excellent written and verbal communication skills and the confidence to support complex governance activity with precision and discretion. Your keen eye for detail, coupled with your ability to use digital governance systems effectively, will ensure we maintain well‑structured, reliable and transparent governance arrangements. With your commitment to excellence, enthusiasm for good governance practice and ability to build trusted relationships, you’ll help us deliver a first‑class governance, regulatory and company secretarial service that underpins everything we do.
