Job summary

Rushcliffe Borough Council is seeking a Democratic Services Officer to support daytime and evening meetings, in-person, virtual and hybrid, by arranging appointments, preparing agendas and taking minutes. You will livestream meetings and receive full training to cover this aspect of the role.

You will work with officers across the Council and with Councillors, supporting the Leader as their PA and assisting the Mayor with the civic engagement programme, events and public engagement throughout

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting meetings and taking notes.
• Familiarity with committee management systems (Modern.Gov).

Responsibilities

• Support daytime and evening meetings – in-person, virtual or hybrid, by arranging appointments and preparing agendas.
• Take notes at meetings and formulate minutes for the record.
• Assist with Leader’s PA duties and Mayor’s civic engagement programme.
• Publish the Forward Plan and update Councillors’ Portal, plus contribute to corporate projects.
