Anglian Water offers a flexible approach; this role provides you with hybrid working.
The Governance Co‑ordinator role is critical to the delivery of high‑level decision making in the Major Projects Portfolio. This Portfolio will see Anglian Water develop a number of significant projects over AMP8 and beyond, including two new reservoirs and desalination plants. The Governance Co‑ordinator plays a key role in supporting the effective operation of governance structures within the Sponsorship function. You will ensure that board and committee processes run smoothly, maintain accurate and compliant records, and assist in implementing best practices in governance and regulatory compliance.
You will be required to work with both Anglian Water staff, our Partners and Regulatory Bodies. This will allow you access to the highest levels of decision making on Portfolio. You will need to maintain a high level of professionalism and discretion, ensuring that the Portfolio represents best practice in the field of Governance & Assurance.
We’re looking for a governance professional with a strong understanding of secretariat functions, ideally with experience in legal or regulatory environments. You’ll be confident working under pressure, managing complex information, and engaging with senior stakeholders and external bodies such as Ofwat and RAPID.
You’ll bring excellent minute‑taking and drafting skills, strong organisational capabilities, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving. Experience with NSIPs and DCOs is highly desirable, along with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
If you’re thorough, adaptable, and passionate about delivering high‑quality governance support in a fast‑paced, high‑profile setting, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
This is a unique opportunity to be at the centre of governance for one of the UK’s most ambitious infrastructure programmes. As Governance Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in enabling effective decision‑making, ensuring compliance, and supporting high‑level engagement with regulators and senior stakeholders.
