About The Role

As a Governance & Assurance Apprentice, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of our governance framework and assurance activities. Working alongside the Governance & Assurance Lead, you will help ensure that our organisation maintains strong governance practices, transparency, and accountability.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is proactive, well-organised, and eager to learn about corporate governance and risk management in a dynamic not-for-profit environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Governance & Assurance Team.
  • Coordinate Board and Committee meetings, including preparing and distributing meeting papers.
  • Support the delivery of the internal audit programme, risk management framework, and key performance indicator (KPI) reporting.
  • Collate and manage data to support insurance claims and data protection requests, ensuring accurate and timely responses.
  • Assist with the review and updating of policies and procedures in collaboration with policy owners.
  • Maintain the Compliance Dashboard to support reporting to the Senior Leadership Group.
  • Provide professional and confidential administrative support to the Chief Executive and wider leadership team.
About You
  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • A team player with a positive attitude and a strong attention to detail.
  • Committed to personal development and continuous learning.
