Governance and Risk Manager

Cantello Tayler Recruitment are recruiting for a proactive and detail‑oriented Governance and Risk Manager to join our client based in Windsor. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in strengthening their governance, compliance, and risk management practices across the business.

Office based, competitive salary and benefits.

Responsibilities
  • Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure they operate to the highest standards of integrity and accountability
  • Supporting the development and implementation of strong governance and risk management frameworks.
  • Acting as the company's Data Protection Officer (DPO), ensuring compliance with data protection laws and promoting best practice in privacy and information security.
  • Managing company secretarial duties, maintaining statutory records, and ensuring timely filings.
  • Overseeing insurance and risk management processes, including renewals, claims, and liaising with insurers and brokers.
  • Assisting with contract management and maintaining accurate business records.
  • Helping to build and lead a small team focused on governance, compliance, and risk.
Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience in governance, compliance, or risk management.
  • Understands UK GDPR and data protection principles.
  • Is highly organised with excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Works well independently and enjoys collaborating with colleagues at all levels.
  • Brings a positive, professional, and solutions‑focused approach to their work.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. "ICSA/CGI", risk or data protection certification) are desirable
