Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Goods Out / Production Operative in Widnes. The role includes operating production machinery, packing and labelling, and maintaining strict hygiene standards. A Counterbalance FLT licence is essential and you will progress from training to dispatch duties.

The position offers Monday–Friday, 7am–3:30pm with potential overtime, weekly pay, and a temp-to-perm pathway. £12.71/hr rising after probation, with pension and parking benefits.

Qualifications

• RTITB or ITSSAR Counterbalance FLT licence, refreshed within the last three years.
• Previous FLT experience.
• Manual handling experience.
• Previous production experience, ideally within food manufacturing.
• Food hygiene awareness.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices.
• Strong communication skills.
• Hands-on and proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery during training (approx. 12 weeks).
• Pack and label products and carry out clean-down and hygiene duties.
• Follow strict food hygiene regulations and meet dispatch deadlines as part of a team.
• Carry out quality checks on products during training.
• Load delivery vehicles after training and complete dispatch documentation.
• Store stock safely and move raw materials into production areas.
• Continue quality checks and hygiene duties after training.

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Goods Out / Production Operative to join a food manufacturing business in West Bank, Widnes, specialising in dry cured and tank cured bacon and gammon.

Supplying wholesalers and butchers across the UK, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Production Operative, Goods Out Operative or FLT Driver looking for a long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent.

An RTITB or ITSSAR Counterbalance FLT licence, refreshed within the last three years, is essential for this role.
