Job description
Role Purpose

As a Golf Sales Executive, you will manage golf travel enquiries for destinations across the UK, Ireland, Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, Thailand, and beyond. Your role involves engaging with customers by telephone and email, providing tailored recommendations based on their individual requirements. You will oversee the full sales process, ensuring a seamless customer experience before handing the reservation over to our Reservations & Customer Service team. Close collaboration with this team is essential to ensure a smooth transition from quote to confirmation.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage your own client database, ensuring up‑to‑date and accurate records.
  • Provide expert travel information to prospective and existing clients.
  • Put together customised golf packages and manage the entire sales process while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Guarantee that all quotes and bookings are profitable and accurately priced to meet margin targets.
  • Assist the wider team with additional ad‑hoc tasks to help expand Glencor Golf Holidays.
  • Work with suppliers to influence product development and promote special offers.
Knowledge, Experience, Skills, and Attributes
a) Knowledge & Experience

Educated to A‑Level or equivalent is essential. Customer‑facing experience is essential. Experience in the travel industry is desirable. Interest in travel is desirable. Interest in golf is desirable. B2C target‑driven sales experience is desirable. Travel industry experience is desirable.

b) Skills & Attributes

Competent IT skills and proficiency in mathematics is essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. A keen eye for detail and accuracy is essential. You should be self‑motivated and organised with an ability to prioritise workloads under pressure within a team environment. You should demonstrate a high customer‑service ethic – naturally empathetic and passionate about meeting customer expectations and improving service levels. You should have the desire to keep pace with change, pro‑actively acquiring knowledge and skills to improve service and processes as the business grows.
