Job summary

Paddle is hiring a Software Engineer for our Billing group in the UK. You will lead development on core areas of our new billing platform, delivering reliable features for thousands of customers in a security-conscious, scalable cloud environment.

You’ll collaborate with engineers, product managers and designers, break down work, estimate tasks, and contribute to robust technical solutions while upholding Paddle’s standards and culture.

Qualifications

• Development background with Go and modern cloud architectures.
• Experience designing and building scalable systems in AWS.
• Strong collaboration with technical and non-technical teams.
• Proactive mindset for code and process improvement.
• Solid understanding of API design principles.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Pride in delivering quality software.

Responsibilities

• Deliver milestones across multiple systems within Billing.
• Write clear, well-tested code meeting team standards.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers and designers to translate requirements.
• Estimate tasks and plan work with guidance.
• Monitor and support production services and fix issues as they arise.
• Contribute to shaping engineering culture and best practices.
