Job summary
FocalPoint in Cambridge is seeking a Software Engineer with strong MATLAB (not Simulink) experience to join a collaborative team. You will develop analysis tools, contribute to evaluation activities and help align product interfaces with customer requirements.
Applicants should have a background in Physics, CS, Math, or Engineering and be prepared to learn GNSS technologies while collaborating with world-class specialists. 40-hour weeks, in-hub location, and a permanent role are offered.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of numerical analysis or software development experience
- Strong MATLAB programming skills (not Simulink)
- Degree in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related fields
- Living in or able to commute daily to Cambridge
Responsibilities
- Actively contributes to the design, development and testing of analysis software
- Take initiative and responsibility to drive product development
- Learn about GNSS technology, FocalPoint’s core product/s and customer requirements
- Consider the user experience as well as the technical requirements
- Participate in code reviews processes
- Apply agreed standards and tools to achieve a well-engineered outcome
- Generate ideas for product features and improvements
