Job summary

ClearSpace is seeking a GNC Architect to lead the rendezvous mission GNC design and verification. You will define architecture, requirements, and simulators, and develop software prototypes using MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++.

You will work with system architects and subsystem leads across distributed teams, performing risk assessments, V&V planning, and hardware-in-the-loop testing to ensure robust guidance and navigation for current and future missions.

Qualifications

• Experience in GNC development and verification.
• GNC algorithm design: navigation filters, guidance strategies and controllers.
• GNC hardware integration and test.
• MATLAB/Simulink and Python proficiency.
• Programming in C/C++.

Responsibilities

• Define the GNC architecture for the mission.
• Define and manage the GNC Subsystem Requirements.
• Define the GNC simulator and the test specifications.
• Develop GNC software prototype.
• Perform GNC subsystem verification with EM hardware using dedicated testbeds.
• Define risks and risk mitigation strategies for the GNC subsystem.
• Interface with the program management and technical team especially the System Architect.
• Contribute to system activities, including system-level trade-offs, with other subsystem leads.
• Define GNC FDIR (Fault/Failure Detection, Isolation, and Recovery) processes.
• Contribute to Verification and Validation, subsystem/spacecraft integration planning and execution.
