An established healthcare provider in Greater Manchester is looking for a key member to join the Edinburgh Primary Care team. This role involves supporting the stability of General Practices, providing operational management support to the Service Manager, and leading implementation efforts. Candidates must be members of the PVG Scheme and adapt to regulatory changes. Join a committed team and contribute to effective healthcare delivery.
Work as a key member of Edinburgh Primary Care team supporting the Edinburgh Independent Contractor (17J) General Practices' stability and managing the directly managed (2c) General Practices' operational, business and performance management.
To provide operational and performance management support to the Service Manager, ensuring services are delivered within budget.
To direct and manage the administrative infrastructure across the 2c Practices, and to lead on the implementation of redesign as required.
To make recommendations to the Service Manager in support of practice stability and implement these in line with Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership Strategy.
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
Due to legislative changes from 1 April 2025, this post may require a different level of criminal records check done than is currently the case. If the post is assessed as a "regulated role", your appointment will be subject to joining the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme. If there is any change to what is currently required, this will be confirmed by either the Hiring Manager or the Recruitment Team.
