Job summary

Eurofins PSS is seeking a GMP Stability Scientist to provide on-site analytical support at the Bristol Myers Squibb Moreton facility. You will perform routine and non-routine stability testing on finished products using HPLC, Dissolution and Karl Fischer, ensuring GMP-compliant results.

The role requires a degree in Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry, strong analytical skills, and experience in GMP laboratories. Permanent, 35-hour week, on-site employment with Eurofins PSS.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry; GMP experience may substitute.
  • Strong knowledge of analytical chemistry with HPLC, Dissolution, Karl Fischer, UV.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical testing laboratory (preferably solid dose).
  • Experience in GMP environment, interpreting raw data, troubleshooting, and documentation.

  • Support technology transfers for new products, ensuring alignment with client procedures.

Job Description

Eurofins PSS is recruiting for multiple GMP Stability Scientists with a range of experiences from recent Graduates to Experienced Scientists to provide on‑site analytical support as a Eurofins Managed PSS Scientist, based at the Bristol Myers Squibb Moreton facility in the Wirral.

This position is a fully employed GMP Stability Scientist by Eurofins PSS, supportingservices delivered to our client on their site.

This role is not employment with Bristol Myers Squibb and Bristol Myers Squibb does not manage the recruitment or employment terms for this position.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.

This is a permanent full-time position, working a flexible 35 hour week, Monday - Friday.

This position is a fully employed GMP Stability Scientist byEurofins PSS,supportingservices delivered to our client on their site.

As an GMP Stability Scientist, you will be responsible for performing routine, non‑routine and stability testing on finished pharmaceutical products, ensuring accurate, timely results in line with GMP expectations.

Job Responsibilities that you be covering:
  • You will perform routine and non-routine analysis of pharmaceutical products using a range of analytical techniques (primarily HPLC, Dissolution, and Karl Fischer).
  • You will support technology transfers for new products entering the team, ensuring smooth implementation and alignment with client procedures.
  • Support in some analytical development and validation activities.
  • You will review analytical data for GMP compliance and initiate or follow up on OOS results and action limits when required.
  • You will document data in accordance with current client policies and procedures and prepare/approve results for tests in which you are trained and deemed competent.
  • You will maintain productivity through agreed metrics (e.g. test numbers, cycle times) and support audits, method revisions, and testing of QC samples.
  • You will liaise with client representatives, provide updates to designated personnel, support continuous improvement initiatives, and work flexibly in line with business needs.
Qualifications
What skills, qualifications and experiences you will hold as an Analytical Scientist:
  • You will have a degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or a closely related scientific discipline; significant experience in GMP environments may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications
  • You will possess a strong working knowledge of analytical chemistry, with specific knowledge and experience of high performance liquid chromatography and other modern analytical techniques.
  • The role requires previous relevant experience within a pharmaceutical testing laboratory (preferably solid dose) and competence with techniques such as HPLC, Dissolution, Karl Fischer and UV.
  • Experience of working within a GMP environment, interpreting raw data, troubleshooting analytical or instrumental issues, and completing documentation accurately, is required.
  • You are capable of working with electronic laboratory systems (ELNs, LIMS) and MS Office applications, and you can work proactively, independently, and as part of a team.
  • You are flexible in your approach, able to switch priorities at short notice, and motivated to contribute ideas to improve existing processes.
  • You will be passionate about quality and customer service, consistently striving to meet or exceed expectations while supporting the delivery of a high‑performing laboratory service.
  • You will demonstrate strong communication skills, both internally and externally, ensuring clear, professional and timely interactions with colleagues, stakeholders and customers.
