Kühne + Nagel in the United Kingdom is hiring a Solution Architect (Functional) to join our Global Contract Logistics IT team. You will design end-to-end Warehouse Management System solutions across a global landscape and translate complex business needs into scalable architectures.

This permanent IT role offers involvement in large-scale transformation initiatives, cutting-edge technologies, automation, and system integrations within an international, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with WMS solutions, ideally Blue Yonder, in contract logistics or 3PL.
• Expert in analysing business processes and translating them into functional designs.
• Solid understanding of warehouse operations: inbound, outbound, and inventory.
• Proven ability to lead workshops and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• We design and deliver end‑to‑end WMS solutions by translating complex business and operational requirements into scalable system architectures.
• We lead and facilitate workshops with stakeholders to align on requirements, validate solutions, and drive successful outcomes.
• We ensure solution quality by supporting testing phases, validating outputs, and managing defects throughout the lifecycle.
• We drive successful system implementations, including deployment readiness, go‑live support, and post‑implementation optimisation.
• We identify opportunities for innovation, standardisation, and continuous improvement across global WMS solutions.
