Job summary

Energy Aspects Ltd. seeks an Upstream Analyst to enhance coverage of the global upstream oil and gas industry, based in London or Vienna. You will maintain production models and build views on productivity and costs for conventional assets globally.

You will join oil and gas experts, monitor events, analyse industry data, and present insights to traders, strategy teams and leadership. A strong analytical foundation and cross-time-zone collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in oil and gas forecasting, data management or production analysis.
• Strong attention to detail in data handling and written English.
• Excellent technical skills using Excel.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively with others across time zones.
• Proactive and commercially minded.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production forecasts for crude oil, condensate and gas production.
• Assess the impact of outages, sanctions or events on production and provide insights.
• Maintain and update projects databases across exploration, development and production.
• Model field-level production profiles to predict future rates.
• Analyse company financial statements to extract valuation metrics and opportunities.
• Manage regular updates of upstream data files for client data service.
• Visualise data and work with the data team to enhance client offerings.
• Contribute to and enrich existing research publications.
• Expand market knowledge and network of contacts.
