Job summary

James Fisher and Sons plc, via its JFD division, is seeking a Project Manager to lead the Defence Submarine Rescue programme from Westway, Glasgow. The role directs a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-value projects on time and within budget, while aligning with PMO governance and safety standards.

The successful candidate will hold a recognised project management qualification, possess naval sector experience, and have the ability to navigate UK and international defence contracting terms

Qualifications

• Experience delivering defence maritime projects.
• Recognised Project Management qualification.
• Security clearance suitable for Defence work.
• Degree in naval context or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of UK and international defence contracting terms.
• Experience managing complex customer relationships.
• APM qualification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple projects within JFD’s defence portfolio.
• Deliver projects on time, on budget, and to customer satisfaction.
• Monitor, compile and submit project reports per PMO processes.
• Communicate project status through management tiers and KPIs.
• Ensure health, safety, environment and regulatory requirements are met.
• Develop detailed project plans and manage risks.
• Ensure projects follow JFD’s Global Project Execution Process (GPEP).
