Job summary

MillerKnoll, Inc. in Yorkshire, UK, is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to shape and secure the long-term supply base globally, supporting growth, resilience and cost competitiveness.

You will lead global sourcing, commodity management and NPI cost support, collaborating with engineering, design and operations to drive DFx and cost reduction. The role is based at either Harrogate or Batley with hybrid working.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in strategic sourcing, category management, or global procurement.
• Experience with international supplier sourcing and contract negotiation.
• Experience tracking commodities (timber, metals, fabrics).
• Technical understanding of products/materials (ideally furniture/manufacturing).
• Experience supporting NPI and product costing processes.
• Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders (engineering, design, operations).
• Proficiency of MS Office; experience with MS Dynamics NAV preferred.
• Commercial acumen with strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication; self-motivated and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Development: identify, evaluate and onboard new global suppliers.
• Global Commodity Management: track commodity markets; lead price negotiations; develop strategies.
• New Product Introduction (NPI) Support: quote and cost for new product development; collaborate with design/engineering.
• Supplier Innovation & Localisation: drive localisation strategies and collaborate with suppliers.
• Risk Management: assess and mitigate supply chain risks with dual sourcing and audits.
