Job summary

Shell Trading and Supply in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced legal professional to provide timely, commercial legal advice and support to its Shipping and Maritime and Freight Trading desks. You will advise on contentious and non-contentious matters, draft and negotiate contracts, and help allocate work within the Legal function.

The role requires advanced experience in shipping law, strong drafting and negotiation skills, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced trading environment

Qualifications

• Specialist legal advice to Shipping & Maritime and Freight Trading businesses.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and provide legal advice on complex transactions to senior management.
• Collaborate with business and functional teams to assess and manage legal risks.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist legal advice to Shipping & Maritime and Freight Trading businesses.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and transactions; advise senior management on complex shipping and maritime transactions.
• Collaborate with business teams to assess and manage legal risks; support Distribution Operations and Products Trading as needed.
