Job summary

Avantor is seeking a proactive Operations Coordinator for their Sample Dispatch Unit in the UK. The role focuses on day-to-day lab operations, managing gas cylinders, liquids, dry ice, solvents and sample preparation in support of quality control workflows.

You will collect data, document activities, and coordinate with internal teams and customers to ensure compliant, timely service.

Qualifications

• A scientific degree or proof of multiple years of work-experience in a laboratory environment preferable in a specialised scientific discipline or regulated environment.
• Experience shipping Dangerous Goods per current regulations (IATA, ADR, IMDG) would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of GMP/GLP systems and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute daily operational workloads in a laboratory and sample dispatch setting.
• Ensure documentation meets IATA, ADR, IMDG, GMP/GLP, and SHE standards.
• Maintain compliance with Dangerous Goods regulations and safety requirements.
• Prepare, pack and ship samples globally, ensuring accurate records and regulatory compliance.
• Support audits and regulatory inspections with documentation and facility tours.
