Job summary

WHSmith Europe is seeking a senior risk leader to oversee the group ERM and internal controls framework. You will coordinate risk governance across global operations, facilitate governance forums, and provide oversight of risk reporting to the Board and committees.

The role requires professional qualifications, strong analytical abilities, and the capacity to drive continuous improvement in risk and controls maturity.

Qualifications

• Senior experience in enterprise risk management, internal controls, governance.
• Experience engaging with executive stakeholders and leading governance forums.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with ability to influence.

Responsibilities

• Lead ongoing development and embedding of ERM and internal controls framework.
• Coordinate ERM process and risk governance across regions and functions.
• Prepare and present risk reporting for board and committees.
• Support assurance mapping and three lines model across functions.
• Lead risk remediation tracking and assurance on major programmes.
• Facilitate finance transformation and ERP-related control design.
• Deliver training to improve risk and controls capability.
