Wood Mackenzie is seeking a Research Manager to lead our Gas & LNG-focused Global Analyst Team. Based across Calgary, Edinburgh, Houston, London, Mexico City and Rio, you will guide market forecasts and develop talent.

You will partner with the Head of the Commodities Global Analyst Team to build robust hiring, onboarding and development processes, ensuring delivery against an ambitious research programme while advancing the energy transition for customers.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of management experience leading a small to mid-sized team.
• Excellent communication with direct reports and stakeholders across the business.
• Data-driven approach to business decisions with leadership excellence.
• Experience in the energy and natural resources industries.
• Comfortable leading through change and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work across geographies with cultural appreciation.
• Fluency to challenge work in Gas & LNG markets and assess forecasts.

Responsibilities

• Hire and lead a group of talented Research Analysts and Associates across Calgary, Edinburgh, Houston, London, Mexico City and Rio.
• Collaborate with the Head of the Commodities Global Analyst Team to build hiring, onboarding and development processes for Gas & LNG colleagues.
• Work with senior experts to build coaching relationships across the Global Analyst Team.
• Ensure efficient and timely delivery of the Gas & LNG research programme; ensure resources and schedules are met.
• Identify opportunities for direct reports in different functions and support wider transformation of the Commodities business.
