Hexcel is currently seeking a Global Quality Industrial Placement Student for our Duxford, UK location.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
  • Support the documentation and maintenance of document management systems (DMS) and quality management systems (QMS).
  • Provide support for quality-related projects.
  • Support data collection, cleaning, and analysis for quality metrics and performance indicators.
  • Assist in quality assurance activities, including the inspection and testing of composite materials.
  • Contribute to and support continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Help prepare technical reports, procedures, and summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on quality-related initiatives and audits.
  • Assist in monitoring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in a relevant degree (e.g., Engineering, Materials Science, Computer/Data Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline).
  • Interest in industry, quality management and manufacturing processes.
  • Basic understanding of composite materials and production techniques is advantageous.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Basic programming skills are advantageous.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
  • Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
