Job summary

Muslim Aid is seeking a Global Programmes Lead to provide senior leadership across the Country Programmes Unit, the Programmes Partnership Unit (including UK programmes) and humanitarian portfolios. You will drive quality, compliance and risk management while supporting country offices and partners to deliver impact.

The role requires extensive international development and MEAL expertise, strong leadership and budgeting skills, and willingness to travel internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree level in international development or related field.
• Significant senior management experience in international development or humanitarian programmes.
• Experience leading programme quality, MEAL and compliance across multi-country portfolios.
• Strong leadership, project management and facilitation skills.
• Excellent financial management and value-for-money capabilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior leadership across Country Programmes Unit, Programmes Partnership Unit and humanitarian functions.
• Lead development of departmental strategies and operational plans.
• Oversee design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation to high standards.
• Strengthen due diligence and compliance with CHS and Sphere standards.
• Oversee capacity assessments of country offices and partners.
• Manage emergency response capability to deliver timely, quality responses.
