What you’ll do

Vodafone Security is a rapidly evolving strategic function, that is putting security at the forefront of the Vodafone Business value proposition. In joining the team you will become a founding member of this exciting function, responsible for developing both the strategic and technology vision, alongside the business model and commercial success of the emerging security portfolio.

Vodafone Business has a vision to bring enterprise‑grade cybersecurity along with access to leading cyber talent and expertise to organisations that do not have the experience, time or resources to keep up with the rapidly evolving threat landscape. Vodafone Security currently sits within Cloud, Security and Managed Services, a c.300 people strong organisation based across UK, Germany predominantly with emerging presence across the EU.

As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for developing, refining and executing security propositions, to support the growth of the global portfolio and the enablement of our sales channels in order to achieve the Vodafone Security strategic goals. You will have a deep knowledge of cybersecurity products, trends and in particular customer buying behaviour.

As a member of the team, you will have particular ownership for a product or service area, as part of the wider security portfolio that will deliver comprehensive managed and professional security services to help businesses to assess, detect, respond and recover from a cyberattack including:

  • Cyber assessment services that will start the customer journey – to include employee awareness, cyber resilience and vulnerability diagnostics.
  • Managed security services include monitoring, incident management and response that will be easy to use, deploy and grow with a business – removing complexity at every stage.
  • Professional services focused on risk assessment, testing and testing employee awareness of phishing attacks.
  • Joint investment in an innovation lab focused on security solutions and intelligence for workplace, cloud, IoT and SD‑WAN environments.
  • A simple and seamless experience including onboarding, delivery and service management, streamlining the time it takes to deploy and protect a business.

A particular focus of the role is to engage with the local markets and enable portfolio integration and planning, including the financial planning and prioritisation. As a product manager, you will drive the simplification and integration of propositions and products into local markets to reduce time to market.

  • Experience of Information/Cyber Security market with general understanding of customer solutions
  • Good commercial understanding with ability to judge value of investments and commercial returns for Vodafone and our customers
  • Ability to communicate complex information and concepts in simple, compelling ways
  • Demonstrable ability to lead, co‑ordinate and influence teams in a matrix organisation – direct, virtual and supplier – in delivering required tasks.
  • Comfortable in presenting to a wide range of audiences, from C‑level, Sales Teams through to analyst communities and technically aware teams
  • Experience of working in roles requiring clear thinking under tight timelines.
  • Experience of working in matrix organisations, delivering proven results.
Who you are
  • Experience in a similar role within the Telco or IT industry desirable
  • Understanding of security product & portfolio ownership role, and security expertise.
  • Excellent communicator – clear precise written and verbal communication style. Facilitation skills a plus.
  • Experience working in a customer‑facing environment, in an influential position. Build strong relationships with peers and stakeholders
