Bramwith Consulting is working with a global manufacturing powerhouse to recruit a newly created position at the heart of their strategic transformation journey.

Position: Global Category Manager - Logistics

This role is responsible for managing the inbound material freight strategy across a network of international production sites in the UK, US, China, France, Italy, Brazil, and India. It focuses on strategic leadership, stakeholder engagement, and commercial execution within a complex, decentralised environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing and implementing freight strategies for inbound materials across multiple transport modes
  • Leading negotiations with global freight providers
  • Achieving cost savings and establishing governance structures
  • Streamlining freight processes across international sites
  • Managing air freight utilization and efficiency
  • Building strategic relationships with logistics partners
  • Supporting broader indirect procurement categories over time (e.g., Travel, IT, Capex)

This role is a step towards a more centralised, strategic procurement function within the organisation.

Your Profile:

We seek a confident, commercially savvy procurement or logistics professional experienced in freight, logistics, or indirect categories, with a proven track record in negotiations, cost control, and stakeholder management. Strong data analysis, adaptability, and experience in global manufacturing or industrial settings are essential. Excellent communication and project management skills are required; PMP certification is a plus. Proficiency in SAP, Excel, and procurement systems is also necessary.
