Job summary

CRANLEIGH SCIENTIFIC LTD in London is seeking a proactive Business Development Associate to help grow opportunities in the pharmaceutical devices sector. You will research prospects, support lead generation, manage CRM data and contribute to client meetings and campaigns.

The role suits a science graduate with commercial ambition, strong communication and organisation, and willingness to travel internationally when required. Salary up to £35,000 plus bonus and career development.

Qualifications

• 2:1 degree in a scientific discipline related to pharmaceutical sciences and/or business management.
• Strong interest in developing a career in sales/business development.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Highly organised, proactive and attentive to detail.
• Commercially aware, resilient and comfortable working towards targets.
• Familiarity with CRM systems or lead-generation tools advantageous.
• Able to travel internationally when required.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify prospective customers and commercial opportunities.
• Contact potential clients and support lead-generation activities.
• Maintain and improve CRM data, including customer and market intelligence.
• Support client meetings, sales planning and business development campaigns.
• Build relationships with prospective clients and key stakeholders.
• Monitor market trends, customer requirements and competitor activity.
• Work with marketing colleagues on campaigns and promotional activities.
• Prepare reports covering sales activity, market trends and commercial performance.
• Represent the organisation at exhibitions, conferences and industry events.
• Provide market feedback to product development, engineering and quality teams.
