Job summary

Primark Stores Limited is seeking an International Payroll Operations Manager to lead end-to-end international payroll delivery across multiple countries. The role focuses on building a high-performing team, ensuring accurate payroll processing, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and payroll vendors.

You will oversee payroll calendars, ensure compliance with tax rules across mainland Europe, and drive process improvements while supporting new market implementations and audits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years’ experience of managing EMEA payrolls.
• CIPP qualified or equivalent is required.
• Strong project management experience is essential.
• Experience coaching and leading teams in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintains a strong high-performing team.
• Manage the payroll process for supported countries from start to finish, ensuring timely and accurate processing, delivery and reconciliation.
• Review and approve payrolls in line with compliance and control processes.
• Continually look for areas of improvement within the international payroll operations process.
• Take the lead in new markets and new store implementations for payroll.
• Lead/support with Global Payroll Team meetings/calls.
• Stabilisation of new markets/stores by transitioning them into existing processes.
• Manage day-to-day relationship with payroll vendors and address performance issues.
