Job summary

Ramp is hiring for an experienced backend/platform engineer to shape the Money Platform International team. You will build cross-border payment infrastructure, multi-currency accounting, and integrations with banking rails to support Ramp's global expansion.

You will own end-to-end systems from architecture to production reliability, working with compliance, product, and external partners in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years backend or platform engineering in high-scale production.
• Strong systems design and maintainable solutions.
• Experience in fast-moving, ambiguous environments with ownership.

Responsibilities

• Build payment infrastructure across multiple countries and currencies.
• Design multi-currency accounting and reconciliation systems at scale.
• Integrate with international banking rails and payment networks (SEPA, BACS, SWIFT).
• Handle 0-1 launches and 1-N scaling for new markets.
• Collaborate with compliance, product, ops, and external partners on regional requirements.
• Own end-to-end problems from architecture to production reliability.
