Human Appeal is seeking an Internal Audit Manager to lead the internal audit function within the Performance and Accountability department at our Cheadle, Manchester location. The role focuses on enhancing risk management, internal controls, and compliance across UK operations and field offices.

Qualifications

• Degree in finance, accounting or business management with professional qualification.
• Significant experience in internal audit at NGO or international focus preferred.
• Strong risk management, governance and control framework knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an audit methodology, strategy and annual plan.
• Oversee internal audit activity UK-wide and at field offices.
• Lead audit team and provide training and oversight.
• Prepare reports for Audit Committee and annual internal audit report.
• Support year-end accounts processes and liaise with regulators.
