A leading engineering services firm in the UK is seeking an Advisor for their Global Mobility function to manage international assignments and immigration compliance. This role involves coordinating mobilizations and providing expert guidance on immigration matters. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of mobility policies, excellent problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset to facilitate a seamless experience for employees and stakeholders. This advisory role within the Global Mobility (GM) function is responsible for managing successful international assignments and permanent transfers into the region, as well as managing immigration compliance and processes for international transfers and domestic hires. It combines hands‑on coordination with advisory responsibilities to support the effective execution of talent mobility strategies aligned with business needs. The role delivers a consistent, high‑quality experience for both employees and the business.
The Advisor serves as the primary point of contact for employees and managers on mobility processes, policies and compliance requirements. They execute timely and cost‑effective mobilisations and permanent transfers into the region, manage immigration requirements in partnership with external vendors, and provide market insights to influence business decisions. The Advisor also manages the company’s adherence to UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations, maintains sponsor‑license obligations, and provides expert guidance on immigration matters to internal stakeholders or clients. The Advisor coordinates with internal teams and external service providers to ensure seamless assignee experience, building strong relationships with HR, Reward, Tax and Finance.
