Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Medical Safety Officer (MD) based in High Wycombe, UK. You will lead global safety activities, drive risk management, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe use of Innovative Medicine products.

The role requires 2-5 years PV experience, strong clinical and regulatory knowledge, and fluency in English. You will interact with Health Authorities and internal stakeholders to shape safety strategies and documentation.

Qualifications

• Physician (MD or equivalent) with 2-5 years PV experience or related clinical experience.
• Board Certified/Board Eligible/equivalent preferred.
• Medical specialization preferred.
• Demonstrated clinical medicine experience and understanding of drug development and safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead Safety Management Teams (SMT) for assigned products, including safety surveillance and risk management.
• Provide medical and scientific expertise on CDT and Clinical Teams.
• Anticipate safety concerns and influence protocol design to minimize patient impact.
• Contribute to regulatory and clinical documents (IBs, CSR, ASR, PSUR, etc.).
• Communicate safety results to GMS leadership, CSO/CMO, and health authorities.
