Job summary

James Fisher and Sons plc is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage domestic and international logistics, ensuring safe and timely movement of assets. The role acts as the main contact for freight forwarders and internal stakeholders, coordinating shipments to meet project schedules and client requirements.

The successful candidate will navigate transport and customs regulations, maintain accurate records, and drive cost efficiencies.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics coordination or supply chain roles, preferably in regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of domestic and international freight operations and documentation.
• Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems and accurate data recording.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate domestic and international logistics activities to ensure timely delivery and compliance.
• Serve as primary contact for logistics operations with suppliers, freight forwarders and internal teams.
• Plan and monitor inbound/outbound shipments to align with project schedules and customer requirements.
• Ensure compliance with transport, customs, export controls and security requirements with audit-ready documentation.
• Monitor performance, costs, and service provider effectiveness, driving improvements.
• Provide logistics support to project teams, collaborating with Stores, Procurement and Product Lines.
