The global shipping pricing group is a dynamic team responsible for key pricing benchmarks worldwide.

The Impact

We are seeking a senior price reporting specialist who can help drive our alternative marine fuel market coverage and engagement globally. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to S&P Global Commodity Insights shipping and cross-commodity pricing team s through coordinating price coverage of developing markets and a growing sector.

The successful candidate would contribute to a fast‑paced and dynamic team based in Singapore, India, the UK, Houston and Mexico that works across all of the main commercial shipping sectors.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in identifying developing and executing new price assessment opportunities across the alternative fuel markets.
  • Lead execution of projects related to alternative marine fuels and related markets.
  • Work across sectors to ensure consistency and alignment of coverage and engagement activities; develop and educate staff across teams/sectors with relevant policy and cross‑commodity knowledge.
  • Represent S&P Global Commodity Insights at industry events and lead engagement and thought leadership on our alternative fuel price offering. Work with the Strategic Engagement and Intelligence Group and specific pricing sectors on external engagement and act as a subject‑matter expert at events.
  • Work with the product and marketing teams on the potential development of new alternative fuel products and reports and their promotion.
  • Act as the alternative fuel pricing point person for commercial marketing product analytics and news for the coordination of content projects and thought leadership.
  • Support strategy development and drive execution of alternative marine fuel pricing coverage and industry engagement.
  • Monitor policy and legislation developments which may impact trade and pricing of alternative fuels.
What We're Looking For
Basic Qualifications
  • Experience of shipping fuels and carbon markets.
  • Strong numeracy skills and the ability to apply math functions in Excel with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills that demonstrate good listening, clear writing style and strong verbal skills. The ability to communicate across a wide range of groups and personalities internally and externally.
  • Fluent in English and excellent English writing skills.
  • Entrepreneurial and self‑starter mindset with effective problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Experience managing projects and driving initiatives across sectors.
  • An ability to multitask and prioritize under tight deadlines.
  • Experience in price reporting or market reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A solid understanding of economics and commodities markets fundamentals.
  • Existing network of contacts in the industry preferred.
  • Additional language skills would be an advantage.
  • Degree in Agronomics, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business, International Relations or similar.
