Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Secondary Design Leader in the UK to guide a geographically diverse team of designers, engineers and subcontractors involved in protection and control schematics and substation equipment.

The role is the technical guarantor of design quality, budget adherence and timely delivery, stressing ease of installation and maintainability while aligning with customer requirements and internal standards.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Several years of engineering experience in project or EPC environments in T&D, Power Gen, or Oil & Gas.
• Experience in project technical management processes with multi-disciplinary interfaces.
• Experience managing externally subcontracted design work packages.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the design team across disciplines.
• Ensure on-time delivery of design and related documents to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with partners and suppliers for design alignment.
• Manage execution progress and short-term planning.
• Analyse customer requirements and ensure compliance in design.
