Job summary

EDF Trading in London is seeking a Communications Officer to support high-impact internal communications and employee engagement within a fast-moving, global energy trading environment. The role focuses on coordinating campaigns, creating engaging content, and ensuring timely, clear information across channels.

You will manage the intranet, plan events and town halls, and work with cross-functional teams to keep colleagues informed and connected.

Qualifications

• Experience in internal communications, employee engagement, or a similar role in an international B2B financial services or energy company.
• Strong writing and editing skills, proven ability to translate corporate and employee stories into clear content.
• Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Word, combining technical expertise with visual design for impactful content.
• End-to-end event planning and logistics, including venue sourcing and supplier management.
• Ability to use graphic design and video editing tools for light edits (desirable).
• Strong eye for detail and creativity with a wide range of digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and delivery of internal communications campaigns and employee engagement initiatives.
• Create clear, engaging content for a range of internal channels.
• Generate editorial content covering company news, events, initiatives and employee stories.
• Work with the Communications Director to develop messaging and campaign materials.
• Own day-to-day management and development of the company intranet (SharePoint).
• Assist stakeholders across the business in sharing content effectively and maintaining accuracy.
• Produce and distribute the weekly all-company email and coordinate updates from teams.
• Maintain the communications calendar for visibility and alignment.
• Support planning and delivery of internal events and town halls; coordinate logistics and suppliers.
• Capture and share content from events (photos, posts) and assist with external events when required.
• Collaborate across the organisation to ensure consistent communications and flexible support.
