Global Health and Safety Manager

Irwin and Colton has partnered with a world leading hospitality company (a constituent of the FTSE-100), to recruit a new Global Health and Safety manager, a brand-new role to the team. This company has a large global footprint with over 6,000 sites and an additional 2,000+ in development-phase.

This is an exciting role where you'll be working with the senior team members and wider stakeholders in order to shape the way the business drive safety (and security) strategies with the likes of engaging content, from training materials and learning resources, through to management systems and policy reviews. You'll play a key role in ensuring the property portfolio and colleagues across EMEAA are equipped with the very best knowledge and guidance.

This role will report to the Director of Global Safety and Standards.

Responsibilities
  • Developing and managing the strategy for health and safety across the real estate portfolio
  • Managing all safety procedures for full compliance across the portfolio
  • Develop and implement new initiatives to increase health and safety performance, awareness and understanding across the business
  • Working closely with site security ensuring wider risks are mitigated for staff and customers
  • Engaging across the business to drive a positive safety culture
Qualifications
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (essential) and relevant Membership of IOSH (Diploma is ideal)
  • Proven experience in a similar environment; ideally within residential or commercial real estate or the hospitality sector (customer-led environment)
  • Proven management experience within multi-site operations and an ability to communicate and engage with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Strong technical knowledge across relevant health and safety legislation

The right candidate must be comfortable and able to do international travel as-and-when required.
