Job summary

Referment is seeking a senior tax professional to own the group's IFRS tax reporting, including current and deferred tax calculations and disclosures for the annual report. You will coordinate the year-end process across group entities and ensure consolidation accuracy.

In a lean finance team, you will manage UK corporation tax, US filings with local advisors, and other international taxes, while driving improvements to controls and documentation and supporting ERP and finance systems.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified with post-qualification experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK corporate tax and tax accounting; familiarity with US tax concepts is a strong advantage.
• Proven experience managing group tax reporting in a multi-entity, international environment.
• Clear communication and ability to explain tax matters to non-tax stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the group's tax reporting under IFRS, including current and deferred tax calculations and the tax disclosures for the annual report, coordinating the year-end process across all group entities.
• Ensure tax balances are accurate in the group consolidation and statutory accounts, manage transfer pricing documentation and policy, and act as the primary liaison with external auditors on tax reporting.
• On compliance, manage UK corporation tax and oversee US federal and state filings with local advisors, along with other international jurisdictions and indirect taxes such as VAT and sales tax.
• Keep pace with changing legislation and assess the impact on the group, and manage R&D tax claims.
• Improve tax controls and documentation and, in a small team, take on day-to-day administrative work alongside the technical delivery, supporting finance systems and process projects.
