Job summary

NexGen Cloud Ltd. in the United Kingdom is seeking a Data Centre Deployment Lead to own onsite builds of GPU server deployments across regions.

You will lead a team of 3–5 Deployment Engineers, coordinate with Network Engineering, Procurement & Supply Chain, and Data Centre Operations to hand over sites ready for operations. The role emphasizes hands-on decision making, meticulous cabling and BOM validation, and adherence to regional standards.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a technical deployment team on site with clear on-site authority.
• Advanced structured and fibre cabling design, including length estimation and QC.
• Experience creating and reviewing BOMs against space, power and cooling constraints.
• Significant data centre deployment experience with strong network and server hardware knowledge.
• Fluent English with clear written reporting; willingness to travel internationally ~50%.

Responsibilities

• Own each site as the onsite decision-maker, directing Deployment Engineers and contractors.
• Collaborate with Senior Deployment Lead, Network Engineering, Procurement & Supply Chain, and Data Centre Operations/NOC for design-to-handover.
• Validate design plans/BOMs before hardware arrives, ensuring space, power, cooling, weight and interoperability.
• Produce and validate cabling designs and QC, ensuring builds match the design before sign-off.
• Oversee racking/installation of GPU servers and network hardware, and confirm commissioning meets acceptance criteria.
• Define and enforce deployment standards by region and hand over complete as-built records.
