Job summary

Taylor Root is assisting an international fintech operating at the intersection of payments, technology and mobility to find a commercial contracts lawyer. This is a broad, business-facing role with exposure to a wide range of commercial and regulatory matters.

You will draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, advise on customer, supplier and procurement contracts, and collaborate with product, technology and commercial teams while coordinating with external counsel.

I’m currently working with an exciting international fintech operating at the intersection of payments, technology and mobility.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small, collaborative legal team in a broad, business-facing role with exposure to a wide range of commercial and strategic matters. It would suit someone looking to step into a highly visible position within a growing business, where they can take ownership, work closely with key stakeholders and have a genuine impact on the organisation’s continued growth.

Responsibilities are likely to include:

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements
• Advising on customer, supplier and procurement contracts
• Supporting product, technology and commercial teams on new initiatives
• Partnering with stakeholders across the business to deliver practical, commercial legal advice
• Managing external legal support where required
• Helping the business navigate legal and regulatory issues as it continues to scale

Fintech experience is not essential. Cultural fit, personality and a genuine interest in the sector are far more important. The role would suit candidates from private practice, in-house, or a combination of both, who have strong commercial contracts experience and a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach.
