Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Global Financials Equity Analyst to join a long-only global equities team in London. You will take ownership of sector research across banks, insurance and diversified financials, generating differentiated investment ideas.

You will conduct in-depth fundamental research, build financial models and present recommendations to portfolio managers, while exploring AI and alternative data to enhance investment research in a collaborative, research-led environment.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years' equity research experience in banks, insurance or diversified financials.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation and sector analysis capabilities.
• Proven ability to generate differentiated investment ideas and challenge consensus.
• Interest in thematic investing and applying AI/alternative data to investment research.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth fundamental research and financial modelling to identify long-term opportunities.
• Develop differentiated investment recommendations and present findings to portfolio managers.
• Build and maintain complex financial models.
• Lead on specialist analysis of financial sector dynamics, regulation, valuation and emerging technologies.
• Contribute to portfolio construction, thematic research and stewardship activities.
• Explore the use of AI and alternative data to enhance investment research.
