Job summary

Oxford Instruments plc is recruiting a dedicated Packer for Severn Beach, Bristol. You will join the Packing Team to prepare and pack products for global export, ensuring they arrive in perfect condition and maintaining packaging stock levels.

The role offers a permanent, full-time opening with day shifts and an early finish every Friday. You will work with a supportive team, contributing to a global supply chain and gaining autonomy in a varied role.

Qualifications

• Experienced in a packing or warehouse environment.
• Computer literate and comfortable working with systems.
• Clear and effective communicator.
• Able to work accurately and efficiently with strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable with manual handling and lifting items up to 25kg.
• Reliable, punctual and well organised.
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues.
• Committed to maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
• Focused on delivering excellent internal and external customer service.

Responsibilities

• Pack products to company standards for export, ensuring goods arrive undamaged.
• Maintain high quality and attention to detail in packing.
• Monitor packaging stock levels and update team leader on future requirements.
• Load shipments onto vehicles for onward transportation.
• Ensure all packing activities meet secure cargo requirements.
• Process Return to Vendor (RTV) requests.
• Support other areas of the Materials Handling department as required.
