Job summary

Saab UK, part of Scandinavia’s defence group, seeks an Export Control & Trade Compliance Coordinator for the Sensor Systems Radar unit in Fareham. You will manage export licence applications, maintain licence records, and support international shipments.

You will collaborate with procurement and engineering teams, ensure compliance with ECJU and UK export controls, and contribute to governance across Saab UK.

Qualifications

• Experience in export control, trade compliance, logistics, or international trade administration.
• Understanding of export licensing principles and controlled goods regulations.
• Knowledge of UK Strategic Export Controls.
• Experience with UK Export Control Joint Unit (ECJU) licensing systems.
• Experience preparing and administering regulatory documentation.
• Understanding of customs procedures and temporary exports.
• Strong administrative and record management skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple activities and priorities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit export licence applications.
• Maintain export licence utilisation and compliance records.
• Coordinate and administer ATA Carnet applications.
• Support international shipments of controlled goods and technology.
• Assist with customs compliance audits and activities.
• Support engineering teams undertaking overseas customer support activities.
• Provide export control support and advice to projects and procurement teams.
• Produce licence compliance reports and audit records.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of export compliance processes.
